Scott Davis grew up in a family mired in the construction industry (Real Estate, Construction, Interior Design, Custom Cabinets). He was Honorably Discharge in 1974 from the Army, 82nd Airborne Division. He attended Kishwaukee College, Northern Illinois University, major in Industrial Technology; and is Certified by Northwestern University in Information Systems Project Management. He has worked full time in the Construction Industry since 1986 when he established S.N. Davis Carpentry. He is a member of the American Society of Professional Estimators, the Project Management Institute and the United States Green Building Council where he served as a past Chairman of the Education Committee for the North and Northwest branch of the Chicago Chapter . Scott also holds an affiliation with the AGC as an instructor in Construction Supervision. Scott has a great sense of community; he was elected a Trustee of the Spring Grove Fire Protection District in 2009 and is also a Illinois Licsenced EMT-B, S. N. Davis Carpentry supports and sponsors a team on the Richmond / Spring Grove Soccer Asscociation.
Our company was founded in 1986 and operated exclusively on the North Shore of Chicago. In 1998 it voluntarily closed for 5 years so Scott could be closer to his family while the kids where still small. During that time Scott worked for H.O. Schulz, a top General Contractor in Northern Ill; spending that time as a Trim Carpenter and cabinet fabricator in some of the most prestigious homes of Chicago and on the North Shore.
In 2002 the decision was made to re-open S.N. Davis Carpentry and expand its services and our service area. We are now in Northern Illinois as well as Southern Wisconsin; in addition, we have completed work in Breckenridge, Evergreen and Littleton, Colorado; and Grand Beach, Michigan.
